Maharashtra COVID-19 task force member Dr Shashank Joshi on Wednesday said there is no sufficient data available to be alarmed about the ‘Delta Plus’ variant of coronavirus

Various parts of Maharashtra including capital Mumbai and Thane received moderate to intense spells of rains Wednesday morning.

Minutes after Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar announced the re-opening of all activites in 18 of the 36 districts, the Chief Minister Uddhav Thakceray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has issued a major clarification. “The lockdown has not been lifted. The proposal is still under consideration,” the government said in a notification.

Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar on Thursday announced the cancellation of Class 12 HSC board examinations in view of the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 and a possible third wave.

The lockdown ristriction in Maharashtra on account of the coronavirus pandemic have been extended by 15 days but a fresh set of guidelines will be issued on 1 June

Due to the ongoing construction work by MMRDA, the kopri bridge in Thane will remain closed for commuters on Saturday and Sunday.

In order to break the chain of the virus in the state, Maharashtra government on Wednesday issued revised set of guidelines. The guidelines will come into force from April 22, 8 pm and remain in force till May 1, 7 am.
