Parts of Mumbai receive a light shower of rainfall, Temperature Dips

Mumbai city and adjacent localities including Thane witnessed light drizzle and showers on Monday morning.


As cold conditions intensify, smog shrouded parts of the city leading to decreased visibility.

KS Hosalikar, Head, Regional Meteorological Center said, “January month in Mumbai has records of the lowest minimum temperatures (Below 15 Deg Celsius). For the next 3, 4 days, as per the IMD, there is the possibility of lowering temperatures in the city. But it won’t be intense”.


Sunday at 11:30 pm, a partly cloudy sky was reported over Mumbai and parts of interior North Maharashtra.


Hosalikar also tweeted that very light rains (trace) were reported by the Mumbai-Santacruz weather observatory just.

According to the IMD forecast, it will be partly cloudy sky with a minimum temperature of 18 degrees celsius for the next 48 hours.
