Mumbai reports 608 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

Mumbai on Monday reported 608 new Coronavirus cases and 18 fatalities that raised the tally of infections to 7,20,964 and the toll to 15,414, the latest data shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) shows. 

The active cases have decreased marginally to 8,453 in the financial capital of the country. On Sunday, 746 cases and 13 fatalities were recorded, while the active cases stood at 8,582.

The recovery rate continues to be at 96 per cent. Today, 28,295 tests were conducted in the city. Over 714 recoveries were recorded today, pushing the total tally to 6,94,796

Maharashtra recorded 6,727 new cases today, pushing the total tally to 60,43,548. Also, 101 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state today while 10,812 patients were recovered and discharged today. There are 1,17,874 active cases in the state.
