Maharashtra records first death from Delta Plus variant of Covid-19
Maharashtra on Friday reported the first deaths of Delta Plus COVID-19 variant patient.
While speaking to Media Health Minister Rajesh Tope informed that the patient was 80-year-old women and had co-morbidities.
Rajesh Tope added that the number of Delta Plus Variant patient remains 21 in the state.
“It is not that there is a significant number (of patients) or the Delta plus has replaced the Delta. However, we are taking 100 samples from all the 36 districts,” he added.
Tope added that they are also checking the travel history of the patient and if he had taken vaccination or if there is reinfection.
